IBM DS3500 SAN Staging Mapping and Host Setup

This will finish my series on the IBM DS3500 setup.  I hope you have enjoyed the entries and have found them useful.

Add another vSphere

Open up the Subsystem Management

Go to the Mapping Tab

Right Click on Storage Subsystem XXXXXX_DS3512

Define->Host

Define Host Name

Define Port Identifiers

Select Interface -> FC

Add by selected known unassociated host port identifiers

First port -> vsphere#_hba1

Second port -> vsphere#_hba2

 

Add Host Group

Choose VMware as Host OS

Choose Yes for the Group

Select existing host group. Next. Finish

Make sure you follow each second for as many LUNs and/or host groups you need to configure.
