Upgrade vCenter Server 5.5 to 6.0

I recently upgrade my environment to 6.0. Now that I am back on track to submit a VCDX 5.5 design I wish I did.

Lets get started.  Make sure you have the ISO burned as a DVD or mounted with the vCenter Server.

vCenter-AutoRun

 

Select Install

vCenter-Installer

Next

vCenter-Agreement

Click  “I accept the terms of the license agreement” then Next

vCenter-SSO

Type the vCenter Single Sign-On password then Next

vCenter-Ports

Leave the ports to configure as they are then Next

vCenter-Directories

Next

vCenter-Verify

Next

vCenter-Start

Installation will then complete.  Click Next and you are ready to use vCenter 6.0
